grief's disguise

where softness moves through a room before anyones notice absence refuses to make sound

a place where light behaves— so strangely the clock is forced to skip a few beats

grief forever disguised in the mundane dish towels left damp, mirrors that ignore your presence

no announcements needed— only quiet dispersals, as if part of her refused to go the mile— in exhaust

they call it healing where ache seizes the moment and turns polite never to leave a trace it learns to be quiet

as even stillness echoes not in name, but in the spaces— abruptly left behind

exiled grounds

the idea of a shackled me fed your hierarchy lead you to believe— you always held the keys i framed a fiction so well but your soft lens— never fails to smear reality not that of mine, but yours

disbelief frames you so well draws you from memory what you seek from me is what you tore from me rage turned to malice it befriends amity oddly, they wear the same face i was taught to mirror the patterns before me

i offer to walk your demands not in hopes of helping but to have them rot with mine into silence— never to be met does it hurt to hear that a canvas untouched— shines brighter than the bridge that wounds our hearts as one

where i once softened— you mistook for consent that i now give to you— in the form of resent

let my sorrow be known— no longer the feeding grounds to your parasitic spawn

resistance led sanctuary

recognition never felt so weird like a land uncharted i learned to breathe the building blocks to my legend accepting it felt like defeat

inner voices warring again malicious, deliberate— planted for a purpose they were attempting

the end is surely near peace was never the goal— but its imminent and coming for me

i see its shadow approaching its skin, like a painted portrait i'm forced to question— what does it want with me?

it was new, alienating warmth was offering a hug it asks to radiate inside me resistance led sanctuary

sheltered rage

slipped out of my hands like it was ever within reach something i was never offered yet i grieve

longing for it to blossom it was but a helpless sapling dying to be watered— by the hands that buried it

started what you never intended to finish you remind me of a place that never fails to change— what was once blooming into waste

i mistook silence for mercy once my blood will run cold before i settle again as even dead things remember who buried them i surely will not

rage now lays in the place you left as if it was thankful to be sheltered so was i, in a sense— not consumed—but chosen i finally felt your abandoned seeds, watered by someone else

where wanting goes to starve

Yearning but not owning Thoughts fading and resurfacing You are just a pawn I keep feeding power Yet my finger lingers a little longer Holding on like you belong Reciprocated it will never be Seen and heard, but sinking deeper into despair Enough, I wanted it to be But silence never makes it so

So I keep inventing you – in the shape of smoke, in the sound between songs I bury your echo under routine, but it grows roots in my idle hours

You don't even knock anymore, just seep in — through the floorboards, into my tea, into the place where wanting goes to starve

I keep practicing detachment like it's a sport I can win But I still check the door, just in case absence decides to return dressed as you

not indifference, but opposition

A threat you swore to be Nothing but dauntless behavior Personas picked out and worn As if the dirt and filth deep inside you- Embalmed in your dull carcass Could ever be hidden In the darkest of masquerades

Attempted swings Ending with missed targets Miserable and pathetic look good on you Like a tailored suit You belonged together

Doomed you started and shall end From your first to final breath Change has not just given up On the place where causes go missing- But paints it out as if You're a sworn enemy
